Kraken
How well (in terms of clarity) does the vox headphone amp handle the low b of a five string? Or the other strings as well for that matter? I'm only looking at it to practice with at home. All opinions welcome
Firebird63
Ahh the VOX amPLUG Bass.... It's great. No player, 4,5,6 string bass, guitar or otherwise should be with out one. I tried them all out as they do about five in the range. I play a bit of guitar as well and thought that the lead or classic rock version may be okay for bass as well. They all work okay with bass but the proper bass model was so much better. The limiter is quite good on it as well. I don't have a 5 string but I know that other people with 5 strings rate these headphone amps highly as well. Another great thing about the amplugs is the battery life. I can play for a few hours every evening and the thing seems to go on for weeks. I also have a Pandora PX5D. It too is great but the DSP sucks power and the I get though batteries every week. The psu means too many wires! amPLUG Metal amPlUG Classic Rock amPLUG AC30 amPLUG Lead amPLUG Bass For guitar the Classic rock is best.
