removal of rubber feet and lifting strap?

Hi all,

Please forgive me if this topic has been solved previously.

I'm treating my amp to a flight case. It's a Trace Elliot AH500-7 and is not a rack mount. I need to supply the manufacturer with the dimensions.

I'm tempted to remove the feet and strap, hence leaving the amp on the base ot the case when in use. In this, I'm assuming the case will give more protection to the amp in transit.

What's your thoughts on this?

Is this a foam lined case? If so I'd leave them on, they'll just push into the foam.

Before you do that I'd check that the amp doesn't rely on the gap created by the feet to facilitate cooling.
