ryan0583 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Hey guys, I've just brought a set of schaller strap locks for my reverend rumblefish. However, I've found that I can't get the top strap pin out of the bass as the screw head is stripped. All the suggested methods for getting screws out which have stripped heads seems a bit drastic (eg: using a screw extractor with a drill - could easily destroy the bass if I slip!). So I'm wondering if it's even worth putting the strap locks on, and whether I should just buy some grolsch and use the rubber washers. What do people reckon? Quote
henry norton Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 If you've got access to a hacksaw and don't mind wrecking the old strap button all you need to do is saw down through the middle of the button and screw 'til you've made a nice slot in the screw head - instant slot headed screw! Quote
