My DS-1 has arrived from the states, including a mod kit. :)

Heres the original TB thread:

Im going to have a play with it as stock, then i might get abit done before work.

Also my AMZ MOSFET booster has arrived:

Are you sure it isn't an [i]AMZ[/i] MOSFET booster? :)

I noticed a 100k trimmer (R2) that it is not present in the [url="http://www.muzique.com/schem/mosfet.htm"]original schematics[/url]. I guess it is to set the bias voltage. Could you tell us how it is set?

Very right there sir! Corrected :)

That is right, something about adjusting the bias. - 5.0v from drain to ground. Im not sure what else i can say, there was a secret area you get access to on the website after buying a board.

I killed my DS-1 by modding it. Haven't gotten around to figuring out why.

ey up send us the ds-1 and i'll get it back to life again if you want! i've got an urge to play around with one.

Can you ressurect PCB's? I lost my patience, i was 3 components away from finishing it.

I agree with umph.

If the PCB is totally destroyed resurrection is almost impossible but if it is just comatose a good doctor should be able to bring it back fully functional :)

If you just ruined some tracks it not the end of the world. It can be fixed.

If you send me the unit I can fix it for you and post some picture before, during and after the cure. Other DIYers might find interesting see how it can be done.
