Boss DS-1 Modding Project

My DS-1 has arrived from the states, including a mod kit.

Im going to have a play with it as stock, then i might get abit done before work.

Also my AMZ MOSFET booster has arrived:

Are you sure it isn't an [i]AMZ[/i] MOSFET booster?

I noticed a 100k trimmer (R2) that it is not present in the [url="http://www.muzique.com/schem/mosfet.htm"]original schematics[/url]. I guess it is to set the bias voltage. Could you tell us how it is set?

That is right, something about adjusting the bias. - 5.0v from drain to ground. Im not sure what else i can say, there was a secret area you get access to on the website after buying a board.

I killed my DS-1 by modding it. Haven't gotten around to figuring out why.

Can you ressurect PCB's? I lost my patience, i was 3 components away from finishing it.

it depends what you've done to it? have you ruined all the tracks?

I agree with umph.

If the PCB is totally destroyed resurrection is almost impossible but if it is just comatose a good doctor should be able to bring it back fully functional

If you just ruined some tracks it not the end of the world. It can be fixed.

If you send me the unit I can fix it for you and post some picture before, during and after the cure. Other DIYers might find interesting see how it can be done.

I am glad you like it.

The PCB wasn't in such bad conditions. One track was damaged but nothing that couldn't be fixed.
