EdwardHimself Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Good without a doubt but comeon he should give himself a bit more credit, it's hardly red hot chilli peppers, more like a bloke playing a bass solo over a generic chord progression that could just as easily be out of any song? Quote

Ou7shined Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 It's a relatively easy mistake... but for them that has 'em they are glaringly different in quite a few ways. Quote
budget bassist Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 yeah i wouldn't call it a cover either, it is VERY good though. Thought it was just the silver pot cover and a thinner neck profile? And I call myself a Musicman lover, tisk tisk. Quote
Ou7shined Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Hell yeah, apart from what you've already pointed out, the Sterling is just smaller (and lighter) all over, the pickguard is different, there's a pup switch and (not obvious to the eye I know but) the pups are wired completely differently. There, now you have more to love them for. Quote
budget bassist Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 and the body shape is slightly offset, like a jazz is to a precision Quote
Jobiebass Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 In my defence... ive only ever owned a 'ray and a bongo. Damn I forgot about the switch. I really didnt notice the body before though or the scratchplate. Quote
