Tait
Heres my customised Fender/Squier Jazz Bass: [attachment=2275:My_Jazz.JPG] I bought it of a fellow BassChatter who had made a few customisations then I customised it some more. The previous owner of this bass bought it as a 1998 squier jazz bass. He then installed Bartolini Pickups and an active preamp. Then I bought it off him for £150. I don't like the Jazz Bass neck so the first thing I did was changed it for a precision neck that came off my Dad's MIM precision (which now has a fretless neck on). [attachment=2273:headstock.JPG] I have also put on a BADASS II bridge because the one that came with the bass was awful and I've only heard good things about BADASS II. (and Mike Dirnt uses one. you may have noticed that I like Green Day from the calendar on the first picture) [attachment=2270:BADASS.JPG] The only other changes I have made is to put chrome knobs on as I don't like the way Jazz knobs look. [attachment=2274:Knobs.JPG] [attachment=2272:Body.JPG] And here it is with my favourite bass ever made, my Ibanez Soundgear [attachment=2271:Basses.JPG] Edited September 15, 2007 by lwtait

neilb
After reading your mods etc, it beggars the question "Why the f**k did you buy a Jazz then?"
Tait
Cos they look cool! The Bartolinis and the preamp were there before i got it, and I really bought it for the bartolinis. My soundgear has bartolinis and I love the sound, so thats why I bought it. Edited September 22, 2007 by lwtait
