gerryc
For sale Ibanez SR1000, EMG active P/J pickups, 3 band EQ in good condition (a couple of small chips on the headstock and a little bit of buckle rash) made in Japan approx 1994. This is a beautiful instrument, the only reason I'm selling it is because it has too many whistles and bells, I like things simple (volume and tone is enough controls for me to handle). Comes with a hardcase, looking for about £300 + postage or if you are in or near Dorset you can collect. These are not your average Soundgear basses (which are very good anyway). I'll post pics of back when I can get my hands on a digital camera (probably tomorrow, very lo tech household) Gerry

Thumb rest I fitted and know for sure is rosewood.

geilerbass
That's a lovely looking bass! Would be interesting to hear how an SR sounds with EMGs - rather than Ibanez own or Barolinis. I'm pretty sure, from the look of the pictures, that the fretboard is Wenge, with most likely a bubinga-wenge neck.

geilerbass
Yup, that's Wenge-Bubinga. The best kind of neck, in my opinion
