Orange amps

I'm interested in an Orange AD200 bass head. Has anyone any experiences? Are they loud enough? What's the EQ like? How do you get round the lack of a DI out?

Used one in the 70's. That was nice.

Heard one in my local pub and it sounded good but in answer to your question loud enough for what? Wembley or the Dog and Duck?

if it is too loud - or not loud enough - adjust the number of speakers.

I have not owned one, but have heard them. quality stuff, big partride transformers like a sound city/hiwatt, 4x88's,

I've heard GREAT things about the Orange Valve bass amp AD200!!!!! I've only played one in a Store & it sounded Very good! Tho also VERY expensive here in Aus. 200w-all valve will be VERY LOUD-probly as loud as a 600-8--w solid state amp! At least!

I've only played through one once for a few minutes when I was demo-ing something else.

I'm sure the head is great but I'd have liked to have tried it through different cabs - the sound was quite muffled and lo-fi.
