Shaggy
Looking for a case to fit my EB-2 semi, the only mainstream bass-specific case that looks it might fit is the Epi Jack Cassady one. If anyone here has one, could they please check either the max internal dimensions of the case (if you've got one) or the max dimensions of the bass (if you haven't!) EB-2 max dimensions are: width lower body - 41 cm width upper body - 29 cm body length (endpin -> top of neck heel) - 48 cm a thinline, so depth shouldn't be an issue. Any help greatly appreciated! neepheid
Hopefully not an issue, but the EB-2 is short scale, the Casady is not. I'm actually interested in the outcome of this, I'm looking for a case (or bag) for my DeArmond Starfire, a similar shaped/sized thing to an EB-2. If the Starfire isn't more than 38cm wide it'll fit in a Hiscox std-EBP liteflite - my Gordon Smith semi did (long scale too), picked one up for around £70 new. If I find out elsewhere about the JC case I'll post it here.
Floyd Pepper
Hi, Just measured the internal dimensions of my JC case so here goes; Lower body width (i.,e widest part of the body) is 42cm Upper Body width (smallest dimension) is 29cm There is a smaller dimension on the case for the cut aways which measures 27cm Body length is 61cm The covering inside is quite thick and you can add an extra cm to all of the above if you wanted a snug fit. Full length of the case inside is 120cm and there is a compartment just between the body area and the neck. if you need a photo, just let me know. Cheers, FP

Looks like it should be the business then. Out of interest, what's the JC bass like? I love this forum
Floyd Pepper
No probs. It's a great bass. Very deep sound (and I only have it set at 50 on the pick up varitone) I'm still not used to the larger body though and therefore it's not my main gigging bass but that's just a personal thing. henry norton
I've occasionally seen cases for EB-2s on Ebay for about 80 quid.
