Telebass Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Nick, you need to be giving the Precisions a new home . Mine. Quote
lukeward2004 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Nick, Im sorry to give you the sad news, but you simply do not own enough basses to qualify for the basschat membership - get out. Just kidding mate, you have a fantastic collection - but how many of those basses get played daily? Out of all of those, which are your "regular" gigging basses? Or do you just rotate them like a football squad??!!?? Quote
steve-soar Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007
OK for Pangborn anoraks only - spotted it wasn't the one on the flier - hope you are not too disappointed. The other stuff is a price list from the Bass Centre (you could probably work that out for your self, I got mine straight from Ashley), and a review from the bassist magazine.
Oh my. I used to lust after Ashley's basses more so than JD's but didn't want to wait the build time so I bought a JD, which was a pig of a bass. But I so want it back. Quote

I mean where do you store them, and how do you decide which to play Quote
doctor_of_the_bass Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 Many members of the collection are spread across a number of secret locations but will be fully catalogued in good time! I do have a `team' of working girls (basses!!) which are (basses used in different situations): Vigier Arpege Status Series 2000 Status Series II Ernie Ball MusicMan StingRay x 3 (two fretted and one fretless) Fender Precision (Squier JV first edition) Squier JV Precision Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Yamaha BB614 Dean Pace eub. Cheers Nick Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009
I think a man with that many basses has a serious problem. I mean where do you store them, and how do you decide which to play
That's a bit rude, young man! I'd say he has a bullet proof pension plan that even the man from the 'pru can't match... Most of Nick's collection will appreciate over time... And as a pro player, he needs a bass for every occasion, even though a lot of the time he plays his Vigier, but I'd imagine they all get a dusting off from time to time. Over to the man himself... doctor_of_the_bass Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 I think we just cross-posted Rich! Absolutely! One day I will open a bass shop....! Nick Quote
