Monz
I don't know if this will be of any interest to anyone but as some of you know I have commissioned Matamp to build me a GT200 (with extra bits) and an 8 x 10 sealed cab and now a 2 x 12 sealed cab. I have been involved right from the off because I wanted the new gear to be able to emulate the sound of my Simms-Watts as well as do lots of other tones/sounds. So today I have spent most of the afternoon finalising the spec of the amp and cabs... Amp: GT200 Line Out with level (for send to desk) Black reptile tolex Black hardware (corners) Black faceplate with illuminated Green Matamp Logo 2 off non-ported 4 x 10: Black Reptile tolex Black corners Black steel protective grilles 4 off 300W 10" Celestion neo drivers non ported 2 x 12: Black reptile tolex Picture framed front with black cloth Dimensions and "feel" of cab to match GT200 2 off 12" 400W Delta Pro 12A ferite drivers vertically stacked Pictures and progress reports to follow and as I will be helping to make the cabs probably pics of me glued to the eyeballs and bits of tolex stuck everywhere Edited November 1, 2009 by Monz

Basszilla
I think I'd definitely get one as well. What's a little rock Joe? edit: yep, with you now, just googled it. There's a few whispers about new matamp gear in the pipeline. It would be great to find out more. Hybrid amps etc. Edited August 14, 2009 by Basszilla
Toasted
Anyone know what the price is on a Minimat 2? I don't really want to ring Geoff - I don't have time to spend an hour talking about tube amps.
tayste_2000
He told me he could do a 15w all tube bass amp for under 750 he didn't have an exact price but for sure under that.
Veils
What kinda lead times on a matamp?
nash
the lead times are when they can be arsed. a friend of mine waited 6 months. should be a sweet, sweet rig. also make sure they stretch the grill cloth properly on the 2x12 as they haven't in the past and then it sags. Basszilla
Yeah i think we were pretty lucky and caught them with some downtime. I was glad my guitarist saw the light and got one as well.
tayste_2000
Took them 2 weeks to build my 8x10 and 4x10 which involved a week of waiting for the custom cut grills, the cabs were done in the first few days.
