bassoctopus Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have a Hercules one in our practice room, which will shortly be demolished (the room not the holder!) Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I've 3 wall hangers; 1 in my bedroom - often with the Ovation on it. 2 in the back half of the lounge They're very useful. Unless you own certain Status/Steinberger/Hohner (etc.) models... Quote
farmer61 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Are they safe for storing basses. More interested in hearing about neck/bass damage rather than them falling off the wall. Quote

They were good and did not damage the basses. Bit more expensive but considering the damage if it fell off, it`s worth it. Jez Quote
Happy Jack Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Be careful using those on basses with a nitro finish on the neck (e.g. vintage Hofners). Over time, even the neoprene covering will leave a "scar" on the finish. Quote

wateroftyne Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Used them for years... no problems here. Quote
Dr.Dave Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Mine live in a floor standing rack in the back bedroom but there's always 2 on hangers as the rack in;t big enough for them all. The 2 are a Strat and A N Other bass depending which I happen to be diddling with at the time. I don't use dedicated wall hangers - I got a card containing 12 assorted hooks and hangers covered in red plastic from the pound shop - I use 2 of them - screwed into a plastic wall plug. So they were just over 8p each !! I've got my guns on them too - on the wall in the hallway - never had a faller yet. Quote
peted Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I had 4 Hercules wall hangers in the small box room we had in Norwich. Since moving back down to Essex last year I've not been assigned any space to hang my basses as the small room now has a baby in it. Quote
