slaphappygarry Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Apple mac are truely a bunch of idiots. Having automatically updated the software on my laptop this morning, Pro Tools is not longer compatible. You would think they would give digi a friggin' heads up on this or included the updated drivers for the worlds MAIN and most UNIVERSAL audio application. I have a deadline this weekend for a major project i have been working on these last couple months, a session i have had to cancel today and a session tomorrow that is now looking like its not gonna happen all because these massive companies can't talk to each other. Gonna try installing an older osx to the computer in the hope it solves the problem for the short term, otherwise, ill be reformatting my mac tonight. Brilliant G Quote
slaphappygarry Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 ok now on an old osx version and its all come back to life. Still a stupid situation to be in. And i have still lost work this morning. G Quote
elros Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Yes, that's silly. Perhaps you should tell DigiDesign about it - complain basically? Quote
G-77 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 have you had a look at this Gary? http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?langid...mp;itemid=22904 Quote
99ster Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 (edited) I had the same problem - but you don't need to roll back to an earlier version of OSX... You just need to run the 'prebind script' & it will be sorted. I am now running the very latest version of Pro Tools LE on OSX 10.4.10 on a MacPro Dual Core Xeon. Edited September 16, 2007 by 99ster Quote
