Grambo Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 What is happening here? Someone will just adore this bass - just like I have for the last 20 odd years. All you have to do is offer me £3K (Oh, and pass the interview - I won't sell her to just anybody :snob:)
Sibob Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Hey mate, is £3000 your price? Just because marketplace adverts require a set price to be listed. Cheers Si

Grambo Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 OK, Massive reduction in price! Electric gigs gone silly, and must re-equip in a hurry so I'll take £2000.00 for a limited period (i.e. until I can raise money from another source!) This has got to be a bargain!!
thisnameistaken Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Oh bum bags I totally don't have two grand sitting around. :/ That is a pretty bass.
Grambo Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 It IS a pretty bass - and she plays beautifully! BTW, Thanks to whoever moved this to the correct section!

What I can say is that the repairs made have all been to a high standard. It seems mostly that there has been attention to areas where the wood has dried/cracked, these areas appear to have been secured using stiches or parchment, and animal glue - so are likely to be very old, and obviously sound. My bowmaker fitted a new ebony fingerboard and gave her the "once-over" some years ago, at which time he approved the repairs and found no problems. Edited October 11, 2011 by Grambo
supabock Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Hi All, i have played this bass albeit sometime ago now but within a year i guess, and it is a great player. Yes its had some repairs over the years but lest face it what bass hasn't for that age. I would recommend interested parties to actually try it out as i think you will be surprised.
