dabootsy Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I HAVE A WARWICK THUMB THROUGH NECK WHICH IS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF WOOD BUT SO HEAVY THAT I HAVE DEVELOPED A DODGY SHOULDER HAS ANYONE GOT AN OPINION ON DARE STRAPS AND DO THEY WORK AS IT IS A SHAME NOT TO BE ABLE TO PLAY FOR TOO LONG WITHOUT GRIMACING ON STAGE WHICH DOESNT LOOK TOO GOOD Quote
lee4 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I own a Warwick $$.Its great but heavy so I can Sympathize with your plight.Just try to find the widest strap possible, preferably in neoprene rubber(softer than leather). Quote
synaesthesia Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I bought one. You are welcome to buy it off me. Works as a strapand may distribute the weight a bit better across your body, but didn't work for what I thought it might cure - a neck dive bass (telecaster shaped body). PM me if you want it, it's the D'addario one. Quote
charic Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Comfort strapp seems to do the job for me. But i dont have a dodgy shoulder Quote

Rumple Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I bought a NEOTECH neoprene strap from the States recently and it helped with the weight of my Stingray 5. R. Quote

I have found a good strap with some suede on the underside works well. ...nothing's perfect....A J is nice to strap on but a bitch to play on your lap, and this tele is a dream in the studio, sits nicely on the lap, gets all the tones I want but it is not the most confortable strap on....having said that, the positioning of strap pins can help some instruments but not all...if you have tried a Gretsch White Penguin you'd know......the neck gets 10 from the hi dive judges.... It's absolutely terrible to play in a normal position but he wears it Mark King style up around his trachea so it stays put. I just can't play it at all ... Quote
