Musky
Is that one yours? I think that's more likely to be a 1992 model rather than 1982. Ibanez didn't start doing the pointy headstocks until the late eighties.
Bassassin
This looks like a low-end 90s Ibanez to me, it's possibly MIJ but most budget stuff was Korean by that point. Certainly not 80s and not "vintage and rare". It first appears in a 1992 catalogue: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/anniversary/198/17.jpg Ebay being Ebay, it's had lots of bids from excited punters - one of whom who will probably be a bit disappointed when they unwrap it. Unless shomeone'sh being shilly. Jon.
warwickhunt
Don't know if it is a member's bass or not but the additions to the Ibanez listing are just crying out for the eBay police to pull it!

Bassassin
Could just be a coincidence - however - it's in the Ebay section, not Basses For Sale. Therefore fair game. J.
Dee
It's definitely not vintage. I played Ibanez exclusively from 1987-2007 and I remember seeing these in the stores in 92-94. As far as I know they were pretty low-cost instruments but they are OK. I'm sure they are Japanese-built, although the headstock does look uncomfortably close to the cheapo EX Series (made in Korea) which were kinda crappy. The seller definitely needs to correct his auction and remove the words "vintage" and "1982".
