pete.young
Gentlemen, start your engines! Here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Burman-4000-150-watt...id=p3286.c0.m14 This would originally have had the Golden Lion KT77 valves in and probably dates from 1980, that's around the time these were fitted. With EL34 the output will be 100 W. The build quality of these amps is second to none, on a par with the mil-spec Hiwatts that Dave Reeves made in the 1970s and early 80s. I've never seen one of these on Ebay before, so it will be very interesting to see what it goes for.

joegarcia
Argh! Been after one of these for ages and I'm broke right now. Someone buy my Music Man Sabre so I can buy this and pay back Mr Foxen for the two other Burmans I bought the other week. :-)
Kiwi
You have the GPA and power pak set up? Oh now I'm jealous. I think we need to see some pics and maybe a separate thread if more people have Burman stuff.

The GPA is a little crackly at the moment and could use a revalve soon but they sound great. Wanna get some KT77's in them when I can afford it. Will get some pics up at some point too. Shaggy
Couldn't believe this went so cheap (£205) - if it hadn't been the other side of the country I'd have had it in a heartbeat Mind you, got enough valve amps in various states of decrepitude..... Kiwi
that was a super cheap price. If I was still in the UK I would have snagged it. Someone I know in the US was interested in it as well but didn't bid because he didn't have the spare cash. I guess its probably the same with many places by the sound of it. Veils
I did bid on it, but couldn't be there to up my bid at the end. Lesson in not trying to be a smart arse.
Shaggy
I was watching it, and frantically trying to work out how I could fit in a drive to Grimsby this weekend whilst hoping it would go realistically high so I could stop agonising. Shoulda, coulda.......didn't.

Seems a lot of people forget that it doesn't go straight to your maximum, so you can drop your max in whenever, and you only miss out if someone bids more.
