Moos3h Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 (edited) SOLD! Edited December 17, 2009 by Moos3h
Moos3h Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks mate, these are outstanding value, no doubt. I've often found some five-strings have a rather dead sounding B, but this is very nice indeed!
Kev Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 thats lovely, the OLP's with that bridge rather than the big one tend to be much better from what iv heard. Cracking price
BassJase Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 If I hadn't just moved to bloody Germany for 6 months then I'd have this off you like a shot, bloody typical Great bass and amazing price, if someone banged a top-banana PuP in it then it would be a fantastic gigging bass. Have a bumpage on me amigo!
Moos3h Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 Thanks for the bump! Have amended the title to offer trades for heads or cabs or both!!
Moos3h Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 This is now Sold, pending the usual to Mr BigBeatNut Cheers, James
Moos3h Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 BACK UP FOR SALE! BigBeatNut has been round for a cuppa and decided he can't quite adjust to the string spacing! Cheers, James
BigBeatNut Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 A very nice bass for the money, but as James says, not my thing in terms of string spacing. Bargain for someone Andy
Moos3h Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Cheers Andy and nice meeting you! What a nice place BC is! Cheers, James
BassJase Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 So to ask the big question, what is the string spacing?
Moos3h Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 I'm struggling to remember off the top of my head, but will post it up shortly. To abbreviate, it's slightly narrower than some basses (but probably not as narrow as others). Helpful eh?

However, I believe you can fix it by putting on a wider bridge. There is plenty of space on the 'board.
BigBeatNut Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009
So to ask the big question, what is the string spacing?
Well, I didn't measure it, but I'm used to 18-19mm on a 5er and it felt too tight to me. I think James' approximate measure (taken while we were on the phone) was 65mm centre B to centre G, making it a bit over 16mm centre-to-centre. James may be able to do do a more accurate measure now. Andy
Moos3h Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Yep, measured using the mightily-accurate Tesco 99p tape measure, it appears to be about 65mm centre B to centre G. Personally-speaking I have no issue with the string spacing and do have quite (fat) chunky fingers. As with all of these things, it's personal taste of course! Cheers, James
hagguy Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 this bass still for sale? quite like it not a big fan of 5's but would give it a go for this money
King Tut Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I'd like this - trade for a Westone Thunder 1A?
