Highway Jazzness

Just taken delivery of brand spankin new Fender Highway One jazz in honey blonde. I'm blown away as to how good it is Gonna put a dark tort pickguard on instead of the dull lookin creamy white one and yummyness all around. Will post picks when done

Some have been better than "proper" MIA equivalents.

Ya i thought they were also brill, it came down to the choice of a Jazz 24 or the HW1 and i went with the 24, but the HW1 was my very close second choice for my first main bass. Great quality defiantly and more bass for the price i always thought then the MIA.

I have Russ aka Rayman's old Highway 1 Jazz bass and its a fab piece of kit. Used it at band rehearsal last night. Despite being a long-time Precision advocate, I love the fact I can play faster on this!

Cool, I'm glad you're digging the Highway one. I've been impressed by mine so far (I've had it for two weeks). Rehearsed with it last night through my tatty old Carlsbro valve head and 1x15 cab, and it's pretty close to my ideal electric bass sound. I've got flats on mine. I thought about changing the pickguard, but I think I'll leave the original one on. It also looks good without one, but I don't want to be tagged as another Jaco copyist, even if I do nick his lines now and again.

Brilliant basses, I'm yet to find one I don't like. Clarkys is an animal, awesome bass, those Villex pickups are outstanding.
