vmaxblues
Hi Guys, I need to get some band t shirts printed, any recommendations? Cheers Stuart
RhysP
Try sending a PM to Ped. He's had Basschat T-shirts made before so he could maybe give you details of who did them.
EntropicLqd
These guys seem pretty cheap/decent. http://www.t-machine.co.uk/ I've never used them before, but am planning on ordering a 1-off (bass related design) T-Shirt soon though because they are pretty decent value for money. Other places I've looked want a set-up fee for a design before you've even bought anything. From browsing around their web-site it seems like they are printing directly onto the T-Shirt; which means the quality should be great. grumble
Dunno what you are looking for exactly but 'er indoors works for an embroidery company doing the designs and stuff. They also do small/short run stuff and i can ask about prices if you want.

Cheers Stuart
Call 1st stop direct on 01277 811670 and ask for Frank or Steve. The actual screen printer (Steve) has been in bands for 30 years and knows the score. Good work at good prices and they're as mad as hatters. Can do it all over the phone and do samples for approval.

Bassassin
My band used these guys: http://www.monsterscreenprints.com/ ...when we got shirts done a few years back. Reasonable prices, excellent quality shirts & prints. Looks like they still have an array of fairly high-profile customers so I would imagine they're still worth a look. We'll probably be getting a batch of new designs for the new album so I'll definitely have a close look at other recommendations. Jon. Webby308
We got a load of stuff done by Vistaprint - as also mentioned. They do all sorts and if you time it right they chuck in all sorts of other stuff for free - we got 500 business cards done... never used them but it seemed a good idea at the time. They will send you a million offer emails a week unless you unsubscribe though!
Kraken
I've always used a company in Lincoln called Running Imp, they were cheaper than anywhere else and did a good job on the screen print and used fruit of the loom t-shirts. haven't disappointed me yet. they tend to invoice for payment after though. Geoff
Ive used Phantom screenprint for the last 3 batches of t-shirts my band has done. They arent too badly priced and the print hasnt come off after washing the ones us band members have.
Stu-khag
I had a load of t shirts done through Swansea prison. apparrently there's a lot of small businesses running out of prison but they are not allowed to advertise.
TimR
These guys seem pretty cheap/decent. http://www.t-machine.co.uk/
I've just designed ordered a shirt for myself. I'll report back when I get it. £14 isn't a lot for a t-shirt, I can always wear it round the house if it's rubbish. How many shirts do you need? Small runs (<20) work out more expensive per shirt. Ordering more makes it more cost effective. Our Sax player's husband runs a print business. Very good quality shirts and print. We only wanted 6 shirts, but due to the way the set up costs v t-shirt price worked it was more cost effective to get 12.
TimR
I've just designed ordered a shirt for myself. I used a jpg and it looks like they put it on the shirt at 150dpi. The design is printed directly on the shirt using the colours in the jpg. I used a picture with a black background onto a black t-shirt and as the black of the jpg is different to the black of the t-shirt, you can see the border. I didn't take a screen shot of the screen after I finalised my design. I did scale the image but not by much and I can't be sure that it exactly matches what I submitted. I'm happy with the result. janmaat
That's my thread then I suppose, since I'm a bass player AND a screen printer. Been in the business for years and if you PM me I'm happy to discuss all sort of things related to screen printing. I source all sorts of shirts, and use all sorts of inks, I do the colour separation, and I pack them individually when they're ready which is great if they are to knock about on a tour bus. Now the more colours the design has, the higher the initial setup. So you want to keep the unit cost (t-shirt and print) under £5, that means: the larger the run, the more colours make sense. Of course, can also print some hoodies, aprons, and some banners such as covers for amp speakers using the same design (just made some cool A0 backdrops for Peyoti for President) . Tatatata here's the website http://noidgallery.net/print.html - welcome!
3V17C
i've used these before for small runs screens printing - 10 nicely screenprinted, good quality t-shirts for £30 including setup etc. peace C
tauzero
I had some T-shirts done a couple of years ago by a company called GP Work & Leisure at a very reasonable price. The cost for (IIRC) 20 shirts was £20 setup, £2/shirt print, £2-50 shirt - Fruit of the Loom valueweight shirts. Website is here - best bet is to email them or ring them (especially as the website is rubbish).
