Biting the bullet on a BC Rich Custom Shop, Finish ideas?

Hey guys.

I have pretty much decided to bite the bullet on a Custom Shop BCR.

I love the built quality of my Eagle and want the same but.... Pointier.

Heres the spec i am thinking of.

BC-Rich Ironbird 5 String.
All Maple Neckthru, Figured maple top.
Ebony Fingerboard No inlays.
Reverse pointy Headstock.
Binding on Body and Headstock.
Badass bridge.
Ultra-lite Hipshot tuners.
EMG Jazz bass pups.
V/V/T Controls.

However i need help with the finish.

I like Really LOUD colours, I love Pink, I also love Nice trans burst finishes that will show the figured top. Like Dragonburst. I also love Classy finishes with lots of Pimp Gold.

My choices are.

Ditch the Figured maple top and have an all white body and headstock with black binding on Gold hardware, Ala Les paul custom.

Ditch the Figured maple top and just have solid Pink with black binding and hardware matching headstock.

Have a trans colour something like greenburst with maple top showing and cream hardware matching headstock. Not sure about the hardware.

What do you guys reckon? Especially the guys that know me quite well. :) I want something that will look good on the IB. And something that suits my tastes.

Cheers. Rob.

I like the Les Paul idea. Very 1970s. How about keeping the maple top and having a trans white finish? Would that work?

Anyway, I love the style of BCRs and I look forward to seeing it.

Cheers

E-mail being sent to Gordon Brown to say students are getting FAR too much money these days!

OK, for me; as first specs above with -
Quilt maple top in blue-burst
Cream pick-up covers
Gold hardware with Kahler vibrato bridge

Not pink, unless your band has a regular spot at the Blue Oyster Club!
The Trace rocks, by the way.

I think the white would look classy. Understated, yet bright. You could have gold bridge/tuners etc if you wanted a bit more in-your-face fanciness.

In fairness, I must add that I have an obsession with white guitars. I have 2 white basses, 2 white guitars and one more of each (in white, of course) I'm in the early stages of building. So I might be biased a bit towards white.
