mxr blowtorch power

ok i have a powerbank which runs all my pedals. bought the mxr blowtourch this week. been running it through the powerbank. then today realised it needs an 18v power supply. ?? why does it need this? my current one seemed to run it fine!

The BT needs 18V for its circuits. I guess for more headroom.

I while ago I contacted MXR and I asked if the BT can run at 9V. They said that 9V won't damage the pedal but it might sound better at 18V.

You can get adapter cables like this one:

Pricey though, haven't seen a cheaper alternative either. I just used to use a seperate power supply when i had my Blowtorch
