Clarky Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 (edited) Is this the start of a new thread on circuitboard porn? PS, I have a Mesa Walkabout and, for me, its the best tube/solid state hybrid sound I have yet found. It overdrives nicely and sounds very authentically valve-y. chris_b Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009
....Mesa Boogie sells for too high a price over here. If you bought an M pulse or Big Block head in the states you would pay half what it costs here. They are not worth £1700, more like £1000 max. They are of the same build quality and standard as Svt Pro stuff, SWR Pro series, Mark Bass etc....
Sorry but, as an ex-owner of a Mesa Boogie 400+ I can say that their build quality is light years ahead of some of the makes you mention. I would agree though, that they are way too expensive but as a company Mesa have their financial profile and seem to be doing well, so expensive seems to be working for them. Quote
