Ricki_Bass_DK
Hooorrayyy - I finally got my new baby After a long time of searching and trying out several different types I ended up with a Fodera NYC Empire 5-string. Very nice bass with a super-nice B-string and the legendary Pope preamp. I ended up paying € 1750 which I guess is a bargin [attachment=31703:fodera.jpg] [attachment=31704:fodera_2.jpg] [attachment=31705:fodera_3.jpg] [attachment=31706:fodera_4.jpg] [attachment=31711:fodera_2_2.jpg] [attachment=31713:fodera_9.jpg] [attachment=31714:fodera_8.jpg] [attachment=31715:fodera_7.jpg] [attachment=31716:fodera_6.jpg] [attachment=31717:fodera_5.jpg] [attachment=31718:fodera_4_2.jpg] [attachment=31719:fodera_3_2.jpg] I am so happy....now I only need to find out which strings to use. I guess that the B-string shouldn't be too tense.....I'm thinking 128 tops. Any suggestions in that matter? I got driven across a large part of the country while I was there though, strangely reminded me a lot of England. Strings? I'd highly recommend DR Low Riders, very nice low B.
