lemmywinks
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT No pics but have emailed the seller for some as confirmation. Too good to be true or a genuine bargain? I've been after one of these for a while (at the right price ) and jumped on this one straight away, even though i don't usually buy stuff with no pictures. Paid by Paypal anyways in case anything goes awry Does this look ok or a bit dodgy? Hopefully i've cured a long standing GAS problem, at worst i've lost the £20 postage fee Cheers Steve EDIT: Heard back from the seller, seems pretty genuine and sent me some pictures of the bass. There's a scuff mark on the back but other than that it looks sweet, i have a strange appreciation for well used Warwicks anyways! I'm assuming this is active 2band based on the fact it has 4 knobs? If not, what do they do? Ta Edited August 28, 2009 by lemmywinks

You don't need 2 anyway, that's just greedy! I've been GASsing for one of these for aaaaaages, missed a few very good deals (one cheaper than this one, although a bit battered) so hopefully i've finally scored one of my 3 favourite bass shapes. Only a Tobias to go now!
Ou7shined
It doesn't smell too fishy and you've taken some precautions. Good luck with the gamble man. simon1964
Genuine bargain! And the Fortress is the nicest shape Warwick have done IMO. Wish I'd seen it before you
budget bassist
nice one, if it goes well i will be extremely jealous, i've wanted a fortress for a while!
TDM
Can't believe I didn't see this! A couple of weeks ago I think a Fortress was sold as a Rockbass Fortress for £300 with some sort of Warwick combo included. Gutted I missed out on that one! Kev
not the warwick i would normally go for, but for a price like that you can't afford not to buy it!!
Jean-Luc Pickguard
At that price its worth putting up with the stiffy/viagra jokes that will be inevitable when playing it.

lemmywinks
Quick update, this turned up 10 minutes ago. Apart from a little ding by the jack socket it's mint. Looks like it's hardly been played. The seller also included what i presume to be a vol-vol-tone wiring he had going spare, nice of him and i think i'll find a home for it when i get my fretless piezo'd up Will post piccys in the porn thread when i get home! lemmywinks
That Corvette was lovely too! And i'm not gonna sell it, i've been after a Fortress for donkeys years ever since i first saw the Masterman reviewed in Music Mart! I'm actually GASsing for one of those now.... The colour on this one is really nice, quite a high gloss so in normal light it's a shade of brown but it's got greeny tinges to it. Neck is excellent too. Not got any pics yet as i'm waiting for the missus to bring her camera round
lemmywinks
I hope so. The guy emailed to say he has posted and I should get it Monday or Tuesday next week. It is the red oiled finish, which seems quite rare to find S/H. Again, not too much detail, but we will see.
I wouldn't worry, he said he likes to send things as soon as possible. He's a genuinely sincere guy by the sounds of things, kept me updated all the way through the sale and was more than happy to provide extra pictures and answer questions. Just a new seller who's honest and has good stuff to list but hasn't used eBay before. Everyone has to start somewhere! I bought mine blind with no pictures and he had a zero feedback rating, the bass is totally ace btw! Steve
