Pete i think you have said before..we have the same taste in music...fantastic Fatback band tune!! good call Pete.......do you like "Change". first time i ever heard Luther Vandross was from change..

This is also what i live for...Maze...for me the best groove band of the 70's 80's Frankie B, is a master..check this out..groove central this band, very underated but up there with EWF easy....

Just wanted to add this..i sh*t you not..for me the best disco funk groove song ive ever heard..the wonderfull Gwen Mcrae... for me it doesnt get any better than this..

I prefer rarer stuff i collect 70s disco vinyl i have some french stuff which is very rare bands like cortex,which is french jazz funk from the 70s,i have a good album by a band called aquarian dream,the best producers at the time apart form rogers/edwards has got to be the mizell bros,they did some great stuff with donald byrd.

I forget the Aquarium Dream track but it was one of my faves of all time. I have the 12" single and wore it out playing to it.

This is a great song.

There was a post on here a few weeks' ago where someone suggested funk basslines. It's not as easy as that. Like any form of music, you have to immerse yourself in it to play it properly.
