Hey

Just thought i should share this with you lot! :)

Ive spent ages trying to find somewhere that stocks good quality gig bags!! most of the places i called up seemed like they really couldnt be bothered to help me, so of course these other shops didnt get my hard earned cash!!

I then checked out Bass Direct's website! They seemed to have exactly what i was looking for (and so much more) so i called them up on Friday to buy a new Mono gig bag, had a little chat with a thoroughly nice bloke who answered all my questions, dealt with everything very professionally and seem very enthusiastic about all things bass!!

This is how it should be!

Great shop that's really doing the bass side of things properly and is run by people who actually care about their customers

Im sure a lot of you are already aware of Bass Direct but for those of you who aren't check them out when your next in need of anything bass related

Hopefully i'll get chance to visit the shop one day (its 150 miles away)

I got a Mono gigbag off Mark at BassDirect. Very friendly service and a truly excellent piece of kit (a sort of semi-hard case, which is light enough to carry on the London Underground)

Mark is an exceptional chap.

His shop is so good that even at 147 miles from me, his is the shop I prefer to go to.

Big warning though, take your credit card and be prepared to come out a couple of hours later with a bemused grin a superb new toy and some explaining to do :)

Its totally expected for me that Mark should go the exact same extra mile service-wise for someone looking for a gigbag as much as he does for someone looking to spend big bucks on a new bass or rig.

His after sales service is exemplary too.

I've been in contact with Bass Direct about some stuff and they've been great.

As soon as I have the cash, I'll be back on to them. Shame life gets in the way sometimes.....

Yeah, I posted a similar story in another thread. Really good service, and a chap who is obviously very passionate about what he does. Interesting parallel with the 'experiences in Denmark Street' thread elsewhere...

I had a terrible experience with Bass Direct.

Ordered a TC Electronic gigbag, and was advised that due to a holiday it wouldn't be shipped for over a week.

Pretty much received it the next day with excellent comms, for a good price, and couldnt be happier.

Oh...wait.......

:)

Actually, one criticism - why is it not catproof? My cats love scratching it to bits!
