steve-soar
Just got back from The Matthew Street Festival and I was watching a friends band play at The Varsity pub in Liverpool, on Hanover Street. He was using a Stingray, into a Little Mark head, into a smaller Mark Bass 4x10. Sounded quite good. Very bassy and the sound travelled to out on the street, about 100 foot away. Good stuff. Mr.T
I think I read somewhere that the LM2 is fairly 'flat'. Although, I do find mine to be very low mid heavy.... which I quite like.
dannybuoy
There was a thread on Talkbass showing measurements that the head was pretty flat - I reckon it's the cabs that boost the lower mids. Which I also like!
Beedster
Always found Markbass cabs to be quite mid heavy if you're running a Markbass head flat into them. Having said that, what sounds mid-heavy at 10 feet might sound quite lo-heavy at 100?
onehappybunny
Just tried the Little Mark Tube out at Andertons in Guildford. Nice bassy sound, but very little difference between the solid state and valve pre's One of my favourite live sounds was a function band a couple of years back with a LM into two MB cabs, but when I play them they sound a bit muffled (even when going easy on the VLE control)

LM non tube is better IMO...and the cabs always sound good when others use them!

bassbloke
If you really like it, maybe I could sort you out with a nice MarkBass 4x10 or 6x10 and take that nasty Tech Soundsystem ND610 off your hands.
Paul_C
I've previously used LMKII heads into Accugroove and Ashdown cabs, and been pleased with the results - I'm now using a MB 3x10 combo which sounds monstrous and has been given the thumbs up on more than one occasion by my fellow band members

I've finished my music stuff - you know me, finish with two lessons spare most of the time - and done the extra questions on other areas of study, before you try that one
