niceguyhomer Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I've given up trying to buy an SKB 2u shallow rack case and I've seen these chunky Boschma jobbies - are they any good? Quote
BigRedX Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I bought a 6U one a couple of months back. Holds my main rig amp and other rack units. Used it at one gig and a load of rehearsals and seems fine. Hasn't added too much weight to the set up which is what I needed and although it looks bulky it isn't really when compared to other plastic rack cases. I believe WoT has the 2U version. Quote
wateroftyne Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I do indeed, and it's totally fab. Light, VERY solid, it stands up solidly on any face, and looks coolers than the competition IMO. The integrated handle is very comfortable, and much better than the usual strap. It's also nowhere near as bulky as it looks. Quote
niceguyhomer Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Excellent - been and gone and ordered one. Thanks fellas Quote
niceguyhomer Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 Bloody hell - mine's just arrived, first impressions....spectacular Who needs Gator / SKB? Quote
niceguyhomer Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 Yup - FCW. I can't wait to put my head in it tonight I tried at lunchtime but couldn't find the Vaseline for my ears Quote
GreeneKing Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I've always had good service from those guys Quote
wateroftyne Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I tell ya.. they're light years better than Gator and SKB. Let's keep it our little secret.. Quote
danielson Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 + 1 for boschma. got a 2u shallow today. already own a skb - plastic is far more rigid on boschma. good clearance on the top and bottom also to stop your gear frying... dont like gator - the few ive seen in my time were very flimsy...
