Al Heeley
I'm looking for a couple of these, drew a blank on ebay and Maplins don't have them: To power a vintage pedal from 9v dc mains adapter without having to fit a jack socket. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
obbm
I used to do those. I might have one somewhere which you can have. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Al Heeley
thanks for the link but diago really irritate me with their ridiculously over-inflated prices for stuff, really it is taking the mick, charging £6 for a bit of wire and a battery clip, and the pedal boards at extortionate prices are a rip off, sorry already ranted on another post about this, I would go to great lengths to never have to buy anyting from diago. They need a big reality check.
Mr. Foxen
I've made them from Maplin's bits. Not a toughie. Bit thin wire though, but on a board, durability is less of an issue.

lemmywinks
Effectpowersupplies also do these for £3.99. http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/9v-batt...adaptor-9-p.asp They're like Diago but not stupidly expensive! I got 2 EHX adapters and a reverse polarity adapter for around £15 posted

FYI I've been doing EH Boss socket to jack adaptors and plug to jack adaptors for about 6 years now. £4.50 each to BCers plus £1 postage for up to 6 cables. lemmywinks
Postage stayed the same when i ordered from them, dunno if they still do that. I work in mail order and know exactly what delivery costs so i hate it when companies charge a fortune for postage, as a rule if they're making sneaky profits from postage then i buy elsewhere
Al Heeley
I recently bought a daisy chain dc power from them, thought prices were fine, but even though I looked on their site I did not come across the PP3 battery adapters. Now obbm has been a great chap and posted me out a couple, for which i am very grateful

For one thing it means you can get what you want at short notice.
Al Heeley
i'd still have to have ordered a female dc jack socket and a battery clip!
