Mike Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Hi guys - I've refrained from posting a thread in this forum yet as I want to wait for a custom Shuker I have on order to do a Family shot - but here are two relatively new arrivals to my collection. Here is a Fender Sting Sig - with custom PG, and a Seymour Duncan upgraded pickup. Here is a fabulous Warwick Streamer Stage I, with aero pickups and East preamp. Sounds huge! Enjoy! Mike Actually, for posterity, here are some others I have: 75 Jazz 68 Jazz (defretted, EMGs, ebony board) 84 Ibanez Musician Quote
setekh Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 sexy collection you got there I especially like the sting sig with the tort pickguard...looks awesome! Quote

steve Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007
The 75 jazz is just gorgeous
+1, is that a fat finger on it? how do they work? Quote
john_the_bass Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 All very nice - does the fatfinger make a difference? Steve - my guess is they add mass and so change the resonant frequency off the bit of wood and I suppose it adds sustain as a result Quote
Mike Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Thanks for the responses guys. I'm liking them. The Sting really has no application in my live groups - I just am a huge fan of those basses, perfect for a blues jam I guess! Re. Fatfinger - I think I notice something but not enough to seriously claim it made a huge difference. It seems to stop the classic fender dead spot but that never bothered me anyway. If anyone wants to buy it, PM me! £23.95 - I'll do it for £15 shipped. Quote
RichBowman Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Nice set there Mike, I've always been a fan of Warwick, mainly the Streamers; and that SS1 looks lovely. Your 75 Jazz is a bit special too... The neck seemed really thin (even accounting for the fact I've been playing solely 5'ers for a while now!) Mmmmmmmmm..... Rich Quote
lukeward2004 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Mike you sly bugger! Nice collection there mate, id love to get to grips with that Warwick, looks like a beast of a bass! Quote
Machines Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Never seen the Sting Precision modded like that - looks absolutely amazing. That Streamer would get it too. Quote
