DirkThrust
hi all, expressed an interest in reading this book on march 16th this year, can anybody post an up to date list to see how far away I am please, cheers, Nick
It seems people don't visit this thread that often. I've been waiting for a reply from Hamster but it looks like he's got the other copy in circulation. Next on the list is RichValentine so I've PMed him and am awaiting a reply. Bassistclem
Or for those who can't wait it's only a fiver inc P&P from here http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/97807...d-Other-Animals Great book, my drummer has my copy at the moment. Will offer it up for the library when he's done, although obviously it may take a while as he's only just got past 'Janet and John have fun with a hamster'... douggie
Guess what, it's probably cheaper to own your own, and help the author feed his family. You can get it for only £2.78 Plus, the publishers are less likely to commission other bass player books when they see what a bunch of skinflints you all are.. However I also should say that I wouldn't have bought it if this waiting list wasn't so long . I don't intend to defend this book share thing, I just wanted to bolster my ego a bit by talking to you albeit in the virtual entity that is BC. Have you thought of doing another? "The bits of my life that got left out of the first one" perchance? Regards from Norway.
AlX
The Kindle edition of Guy's excellent "My Bass And Other Animals" has just appeared for all of you who want to add this to your Amazon eBook reader. The book is a hilarious, no-holds barred, warts'n'all look at his career working with such luminaries as Madonna, Bryan Ferry, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, David Gilmour, and Pink Floyd, to name but a few, and we heartily recommend it.
