Just found this hiding in the bass emporium website with all the other Ed Friedland (The Bass Whisperer) reviews.

Most interesting to see someone take the time and effort to test all the strings so thoroughly on the same bass.

That's fantastic, even though I inevitably won't read it all.

Ed Friedland is a legend in his own time.

great article, I always use DRs and have done for years, your better getting them direct from the states, if you get 3 sets or more its much cheaper.

Thanks OTPJ, that's really useful as I've just discovered why the lo-riders I have on my Jazz are not really the string for me. I'm off to change the for a set of MMs
