Sore Throat...

Am coming down with a bastard cold (or so it feels like) and I have 2 gigs this weekend. I need to be able to sing (if you call it that).

I use Vocalzone lozengers (sp?) regularly, any other top tips for surviving colds and sniffles (mainly sore throats and coughs really) when out there gigging.

ps I'm driving to both gigs so Alcohol and Potions that make you drowsy are not options - unfortunately.

if you can - honey and lemon are deemed to be pretty useful.

Gargle 3 times a day with warm salt water.

Boil the kettle, get some blackcurrant ribena and dilute it THE best solution.

I've got the same problem but I've got an audition as a vocalist tomorrow.

I've been taking Nigroids which taste like s*** but are good, also soluble asprin in water and gargling helps

I wasn't joking about the ribena - it really does help. and it tastes amazing as well haha
