Kev
Due to shoddy routing on my p bass, i need to mount a pickup cover into the actual pickup cavity, and thus i need longer screws than normal. I think i need at least 25mm thread length, but the same width/head as a normal mounting/scratchplate screw. Can anyone tell me where i could find such screws, as i am having difficulty. Obviously i would prefer them to be chrome, or similar as possible. any ideas?

The Bass Doc
Can I suggest trying pickup height screws - they have a dome head but as long as that bit doesn't pass through the countersunk hole in your cover they'll look OK. Unless you're unlucky enough to play that place where an old biddy comes up to you at the end of the night and says 'I really enjoyed your playing but what spoilt a bit for me was noticing you've got pickup height screws holding your chrome cover on'. Wallop, wallop, down she went...
Kev
Pickup screws sadly pass through the countersunk hole in the cover. I have ordered some anyhow from axesrus as i think the 1 inch strap button screws will work, we will see BTW, the cover matches the 'relicing' on my bridge cover very well, cheers Edited September 9, 2009 by Kev

( ) Use Fender bridge mounting screws. They are pretty much identical to normal scratch plate screws except much longer. Worked for me!
