darwin
Hi, I bought a P special last year but haven't played it much wishing I'd of kept my old passive P bass. I've also got a five string I've never use so I'm looking to sell these two in order buy a passive P (Lake Placid Blue with a maple neck to match my J bass). I'd welcome advice on what these two are worth before I put them up for sale. Fender Deluxe P-Bass Special P & J pickups, Active electronics In great condition, £499 new. Like this but with a maple fingerboard http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~F...ood~ID~3944.asp Warwick Rockbass My attempt at a five string but I've never got on with it - only gigged once Been hung on my wall for 2 years with little use A1 condition (besides the dust) I think it was £299 new EDIT - Absolute Music Solutions have them for £399 Comes with a spare pack of Warick Red Label Strings Like this in natural (has very nice wood grain showing - which is why it been hung on the wall) http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~id~3049.asp http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/shop/view_p...BASS&page=1 I've also got the oringinal packing for both basses Any advice would be appreciated, thanks ! MythSte
I REALLY want that P, Is it a Jazz style neck?
Cat Burrito
It's the Mexican Deluxe series so more than a Standard. I've sold a bunch of guitars from this series. £350 is priced to sell for a relatively quick sale but if you put it higher it will go. No experience selling Warwicks though

Nice basses for the money. I'd be very tempted, but simply can't justify another 4 string!

lemmywinks
FWIW i played one of those Ps the other night, loads of decent beefy sounds to be had just from the blend knob. The one i tried had crackly pots and a noisy pre (it was ex demo, the guy paid £435 if memory serves) so it was a bit off-putting but i was still very impressed. It was a slap monster and had a very assertive fingerstyle sound, i'd gig it any day I'd love to try one that didn't have the faults that one had, although i'd probably end up buying it! I think P + J is my new favourite pickup configuration
Kev
il offer my 2 cents.. Im quite an eagle eye in terms of watching basses sell (and not buying them ) I would say a fair price for the mim fender would be around the £325-£400 mark, say £360. The rockbass i would probably expect £150-£200. Hope this helps
Shockwave
I had exact same Fender, But it had Seymour duncan quarter pounders, I bought it for 250-260 and sold it for the same amount.
