nottswarwick
Thought I would post this up here - just some messing around using my Jamman looper, but of interest might be the tones from my upgraged Yamaha BBN4 bass - it has a set of SD basslines in it, with passive eq, and I think it sounds lovely. The bass cost me £180 ages ago, and the upgrade work (incl strap locks, good set up etc, and the parts, incl a custom made scratchplate, cast about £250. It honestly is now one of the nicest basses I own. The clip shows both pups together at first, then the bridge soloed, and then the neck at the end Cheers for looking Chris
AdamWoodBass
Thats a really nice tone you've got going on there mate, that would be a really good studio bass I reckon. Nice and clear. The bridge pickup sounds a bit Wooteny which can't be bad considering the total cost! Good job mate.
nottswarwick
yeah cheers for that. Exactly - I have recoded a couple of times with it, in preference to my Stingrays. the Rays suit me better live tough.
BassAgent
It sounds great! Still a bit Yamaha-ish, funny enough (and that's a compliment). I also have a Yamaha BB N series, but the 5-string version with Soapbars. It's still a wonderful instrument, despite all thos other basses I've had (and still have).
