So, I've shared the nasty with you all in the for sale section. Here is the upside. :)

I found this bass looking desperately unloved and abused. It was sold as a Squier, badged as a Fender but I doubt it's either.

Looking to keep things simple and classy, back to wood and a light oil. Some quality hardware, probably hipshot and some nice passive pickups.

Right sorry about that, the gallery name and the filter here didn't get on......sorted now.







So far we've got to here. Not much but you can tell she feels better already. As I went down through the layers of crud smeared on her, each one was nicer than the one that replaced it. The very last one, the original finish was a lovely blond lacquer with just a hint of wood showing.
