Crikey!
Hi, I bought a squire VMJ from this site a few months ago, its looooovely. But i'm not a fan of the jazz necks. Basically my question is, if i bought a Fender Precision neck, would it fit the jazz neck pocket? I cant find neck dimensions... but if its different, i'm really not up for widening the pocket. any infos appreciated cheeeeers x

OutToPlayJazz
Oddly enough, the founder of the Statii.com forum has just bought a nice S1 jazz in chrome red with a maple precision neck.
The Bass Doc
Most Fender necks fit most Fender bodies - you'd be very unlucky if any major tweaking was necessary - usually height differences are more likely - cured by adjusting the bridge saddles. Bassassin
It'll fit fine - if you fancy a swap for a Squier P neck, I have a spare one that's not doing much - drop me a PM if you're interested. Jon.

Aussiephoenix
A jazz neck fits a precision body perfectly. the opposite should also be true.
mrcrow
i had a fender precision special...with jazz neck the fit was a bit loose... from that i assume that there must be some discrepancies in width only
