I get my Ampeg back and I want a switchable pre-amp my idea is to go

Bass -> Boss AB2 (A) DHA EQ-DI -> Pre-amp in ( B ) Amp input

Therefore having two seperate pre-amps, will this work? orcan I cause damage?

Not sure about the line level etc, but one thing to consider is that the Boss A/B box might create 1) some earth hum, 2) you can get minor phasing issues when running the two amps at the same time which would cancel out your tone (running just A/B is fine, just if you are running 'Y')

Dedicated amp splitters like the Tonebone have isolated power supplies and a ground lift just in case.

In terms of the wiring with the Ampeg, my only concern would be that by having a jack permanently inserted into the Amp B input it would 'override' any normal input into the main jack. So you'd be switching from DHA to DHA muted. Again, its just something to consider.

How about:

Bass > AB2 (A) Amp Input (B ) DHA > Effects Loop Return?

Page 5. You will need a shielded cable.

I'll give it a go in a bit, I have it at home at the moment, I'm loving it, such a brute.
