tayste_2000
Updated my M13 so it has all the sounds of the M9 Ok I apologise for these as I think they have come out a bit quite but since you want to be listening to them on some decent speakers (not laptop) you can afford to crank it up a bit I'll do some more this week with my Radial Di box. All sound samples are my Valenti Jazz (active) tuned DGCF so when you hear the super low notes on the octaver thats down to D not just E into the M13 into a 1970's Simms Watt PA100 Head into a Matamp 2x12 cab with a cheap Stagg kick drum mic on it. First up, Harmoniser set to A Major with 5th up and octave up which you can hear the differences I even do some 100% octave up to show the tracking. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Harmoniser.mp3 Partical Verb, loving this so far what I've done here is set the expr to go through the different modes stable, critical etc so you can hear different degrees of it. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Partical%20Verb.mp3 Phasers, first one is the script which is awesome and probably my new favourite mod on this pedal, then it goes to the Barber one which I haven't quite got right, there is some clean playing between them to distinguish. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Phasers.mp3 Whammy, ok so here I am playing with 1 and 2 oct's up, I also do 1 and 2 octs down but the 2 octs down is pretty inaudible, the tracking is stellar and it's polyphonic, so I'm just wiggling the expr and tweaking the shift and stuff so its doing the 1 or 2 octave up with either 50/50 mix or 100% wet signal. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Whammy.mp3 Octaver and chorus, this is the new EBS based octaver which I use first on it's own, then the analog chorus on it's own then both together. Tracking goes iffy around G but will still sound reasonable to D below E, it can just about handle double stops but not chords, the Whammy model can http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Octaver%20Chorus.mp3 Like I say these are a bit quiet but it's late here and I can't keep playing away through my amp, I'll redo these at some point and record new ones that cover my dirt and wah's and other weird noises that I'm yet to get nailed down, but in the mean time hope you enjoy these. Cheers
Finbar
This is looking more and more appealing D: Can you add two expression pedals? For Whammy and volume maybe? Edited October 4, 2009 by Finbar
tayste_2000
Yeah you can, I prefer a separate volume pedal so that i can have 2 expression pedals and have one control whatever i want and the other control whatever I want. Just remember each expression pedal can control 1 or more of any parameter of any fx
Finbar
I was just thinking it wouldn't make sense to waste one of the patches on 'volume pedal' setting while you could just put the volume pedal before or after the m9 anyway... Yeah. I think I may have been convinced you know. I'm going to assume from looking at it that I wouldn't be able to fit two EB pedals, an M9 and maybe one or two other pedals onto a Pedaltrain Jr? Matty
Cool clips. Love the reverbs. M9 here i come, methinks.
deej
This is starting to grow on me now. Ive never really been a fan of multi fx pedals, but this seems very useful and good quality. Im seriously considering selling half my pedals and getting one of these instead. Does it have any good fuzz settings on it? I havnt heard anything about that so far, and a fuzz seems to be one of those pedals that everyone is picky about with specific sounds. MacDaddy
Is there any compression?
sshorepunk
I just got an email from Dolphin Music telling me mine has been shipped, should arrive tomorrow! Tony
tayste_2000
Paying for mine from Tone Factor today, about 100 quid cheaper than the uk, which will do nicely. Did they up hold their price Tony?
EskimoBassist
I've got so many stomps and I'm so happy with them... but why oh why I am gassing for the m9!?!?!1 I could look straight past the m13!
sshorepunk
It looks like they did hold the price, I need to check the invoice when it arrives though. My account on Dolphin still shows the same price though, so without contcating me, they cannot charge any more to my card! Could be the best £215 I've spent for a while! I got to go away for a few days tonight though, so probably only gonna get a few minutes to have a play, will have to wait until sunday for a good work out with it Tony
deej
How'd you get it so cheap??
sshorepunk
It was that price for a few hours, then went back to £329? I didn't have my wallet on me when I saw it, got home, bought one, then shortly after it was normal price!! Tony
nash
i hope they honour it.

burno70
My mates recently bought one and is really raving on about it. I'm looking forward to trying it out on friday. I wouldn't have thought I'd ever contemplate selling off my pedals but I'm at a crossroads where I want more effects but feel reluctant to upsize to a more cumbersome bigger pedal board. The more I think about it the more it makes sense - providing I like the M9 when I try it out I could sell most of my pedals and by it, along with a pedaltrain mini and and I wouldn't have to add much more to swoop on a Mutron. If a lot of people jump ship and move over to the M9 wagon will that drop the costs of pedals down in the MarketPlace with a lots of boards going wholesale I wonder? tayste_2000
Ok if you google about the M9 at the moment people are moaning about how it's on old firmware, well I looked and the only fx missing between what they advertise are below: Bass Octaver Sync to Midi Beat Clock Resync LFOs Relative Mode Heel/Toe Pixels Only annoying one is the Bass Octaver but this update will be there very soon, so don't be put off. People are just making out like the thing has come bare bones, even I paniced. I paid for mine last night but will still have to wait 10 days for it. nash
i'm in quite a pickle. do i get the M9 or, do i get the M13 and a sweet midi switcher?
Jarhead
Personally, I'd go for the M13, but I like big stuff lol. Zach
nash
or m9 with a controller
Finbar
The M13 would actually suit me better in terms of replacing what I have (had) at the moment, but I'm using it as an excuse to downsize as well. I'm trying to stick to keep it simple...
nash
m9 and a controller for multi fx access etc
Finbar
Takes up more room than I'd like to do that. M9 is fine for me on its own with a couple of expression pedals. Infact, what's the smallest pedaltrain I can get an M9, two EB jr pedals and a couple of other stompboxes on? I don't think I'll fit on a Jr but I'm thinking the PT2 might be too big :/
deej
I think you'll only get one expression pedal on a jr, with a couple of pedals underneath. Im looking to do a similar thing...but...I dont know! God damn this thing.
DanOwens
What's the best price (Other than Tony's magical £215) that anyone's found? Tonefactor? Or somewhere in the UK? Dan
