Trace V-Type? My 4x8 combo, or the AH400SMX head? Rather not lose the head, its awesome, but its there if you fancy? 4x10 and 1x15 cabs... Money negotiable... Unless youre on about V8 heads and w.e... :)

It's a bit of a bugger you live way up't in Yorkshire otherwise I'd be seriously considering trying out the head alone.

Pictures of the cab showing the chips, overcuts on the back panel (i have included internal shot to show it doesn't affect structure) and the back plate where they have routed a recess for a square edge and not round edge plate (the foam you can see is to stop vibrations and not to cover holes!!)

I will be painting the paint chips this weekend with some tuff cab speaker paint - most of these chips were present when i purchased the cabs, the slight scuffs are what i have added!

Would prefer not to go down the combo route at the moment tbh.

Is the AH400SMX one of the old neon light heads? Always liked my 7 band 300SMC.

Cheers

Chris

mmm not really considered a tubepath (probably because i've never seen or heard one :) ), but looking on th net i'm intrigued.

I know its a daft question but what sort of sounds do you get? Does the valve add any 'grind' or does it just warm it up a little.

Cheers

Chris

Hi

I really like the AH400SMX- just not sure at the moment that i want to go back to TE again!! (I do love the sound of them and how easy it is to get a good sound in almost any venue - they are really good solid gigging amps.)

I do have a few other amps i'm looking into however feel free to PM with what you have in mind re trade value - i could be persuaded to go green again!

Cheers

Chris Griffiths
