Ed Friedland's Bass Improvisation

So, I'm looking for a decent book with some advices for improvising, and, just wanted to ask, if anyone's tried Ed's book 'Bass Improvisation', folks?.. :)

I would buy it straight away off the Amazon without much thinking, but, then again, when it comes to Ed's books, I get a strange feeling about it, i mean, some books, like 'Building Walking Basslines', are just wonderful - very clear & informative and stuff.., but, some other ones, especially those, 'supported-published(?)' by Hal Leonard, are, IMHO, complete crap (sorta 'fast food', if you know, what I mean..)

.. so, it'd be nice, if anyone would give a word about it..
In the other words, if it's anything similar like 'Building Walking Basslines', I'd be happy..

Waiting for you thoughts,
Faith.
