Hi

I bought this recently to see if i liked it as i'd always liked the 4 string version. I do like it but can't justify keeping it so it has to go.

It was sold as an Encore mahogany bodied bass, however it's actually a Vintage V940, the early version with gold hardware. It needed a good clean and some work and parts but it's come up really nice, the only things i'd mention are:

- Buckle rash on the back
- One of the retainer screws on the bridge doesn't match the others
- The neck bolts aren't original
- It may need a new battery connector wiring if it's gonna see heavy use (cost pennies)
- The clip on the battery box doesn't spring back (still secure though, you just have to push it back. A new battery box is around £5 - £6 but this one works fine)

That's all i can think of

I bought this bass for £50, with delivery and parts it owes me around £65 so i'd like this back. No offers unless they're more than £65!

I'll ship it with any courier you like, i usually use Interparcel as they're only around £8, so you could have this delivered for £73

I'm near Blackpool if anyone fancies trying it out

actually... if it's got 5 strings, then it's a V950B

VF950B if fretless...

I have one myself... cleaned up very nicely and I upgraded the tuners and bridge as well...

ps. the body is Bubinga, NOT Mahogany...

Aye i thought it'd be Bubinga, wasn't sure if they made the early ones out of something different. As for the price, i'm just passing on the love! I got it cheap so i'm selling it cheap!

Ammended to V950B!

Good stuff!

Forgot to mention that the strings will probably need replacing as they're not the brightest, at least not to my taste. They're all there though and it still sounds good

wish i lived closer to you, would to to take it off you as it seems lovely, but the cost of shipping would make it lose its appeal :)
