leester Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I haven't played for 7 years, but am ready to start again. I used to play through a Trace Elliott stack and loved it. I now have the opportunity to buy another one with the following spec: Series 6 GP12 AH200 Head 1 x 15" 2 x 10" All with flight cases. Is £600 to steep for this rig? Thanks from a newbee... Quote
leschirons Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Great head with the 12 band graphic, much better than the 7 band and a great combination of cabs to cover the full tonal range but sounds a tad steep on the price. That's just my opinion though. Quote
leester Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 Thanks for your opinion, it really helps. Forgot to mention it also includes a Samson Zoom studio 1204 Quote
Delberthot Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Check out completed listings on ebay to see how much stuff is going for. I got a 1153H in a custom flight case for £100. Round about the same for the 1153. I would say roughly £400-450 for the whole rig. Quote

JTUK Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 TE is decent if you like their sound, but there is a lot of their stuff available and this makes the prices keen The fact that it is flight-cased doesn't really add anything in real terms... so the above prices should apply for the kit with or without, IMO.. lozbass Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I'd concur with the opinions above - £600 is a bit steep. If the gear is in good condition, around £500 sounds reasonable to me. Also, if it is in good condition, you're buying a high quality, pro rig - I'm sure you're aware that TE has a signature sound, and if you like this, then £500 would be a good deal Quote
