6 String Bass on the bay

Hello all, I was browsing the pages of ebay whilst bored at work and found this, Ive always fancied having a proper go at 6 string bass, but I dont want to spend much money, and this is nice and cheap plus I prefer the looks compared to mazetti basses that I had also considered, just wondered if anyone had any experience with these or just your general opinion

I must say they do an interesting range, did you see the tripleneck guitar!!
I must admit I don,t know what they are like to play but at that price I,d guess it,s worth a punt.

A Tobias Toby Pro 6 sold on Ebay BIN for under £140. I would have bought it had I seen it in time.

Hi there, one of my students bought one about a month ago, the neck is a bit 'clubby' but not out of order, seems to be fantastic value for the money.

They look great, especially the sequoia natural 6, very nice. I've always fancied a 6 stringer, but never had the balls to go for it. I've tried a couple off the wall in various shops, but that just made me wonder if I was up to it. I tried a nice Yamaha TRB 6, and that was nice, but like you, I couldn't afford it.

I have no real use for a 6er (the low B on my 5 is a very long thumbrest ) but this is tempting even to me:
