yanto
I have a USA P Deluxe and the jack produces horrendous pops and bangs if it is moved sideways at all while plugged into the bass.I bent over the end contact of the jack socket and that helped slightly but it still does it if I stand on the lead or something similar. Is it just a poor quality socket or is there a way to fix this? Mr. Foxen
Actives seem to do really loud pops if the socket is not happy. Might be a new socket, just a decent stereo jack socket should sort you.
Jean-Luc Pickguard
I agree, a new socket should cure it. Best to get a switchcraft one if they make one that's suitable for your bass. Surprised its happened on a USA fender though - I've had this issue with inexpensive basses with cheapo hardware, but not a US fender.
