Recommend me a cheap-ish 4 string?

I'm looking for a budget (sub £500) 4 string , I currently play a stingray but I'd like something a bit more expendable for dodgy venues and to take on tour.
I play punk and almost always use a pick if that makes any difference.

I love the sound of the ray so anything vaguely close to that would be awesome but it won't matter too much in a live setting.

Now the picky bit, would prefer a maple fretboard, don't like anything to pointy/weird shaped, really don't want a fender.
