Works every time!:)

To be honest, the EQ was set up REALLY strangely with the left half of the graphic all cut slightly by the same amount and a bit more boost on eth right hand side - like two steps. Didn't even look at teh pre-shape or other controls, it sounded fine for the previous guy (who used a P) and no time to waste.

Jamming with James Oliver at the Earl Haig open mic yesterday.

Nice one!

I saw James Oliver at a guitar show last year and very impressive he was too.

Current progress with Two Tribes as well as a demo of the Sadowsky preamp now installed in the Sire. For those interested this is both pickups, tone 100%, bass boosted to about 25% and treble to 50%. I'm also in drop D tuning.

This is finally out after recording it last year. The video editing is slightly circumspect but I’m pretty pleased with how it sounds. There was some pressure as the engineer is one of the house guys at AIR and the bassist they used previously was John Giblin (RIP)

Gear used was a G&L LB100 with chrome flats, Markbass vintage pre, Markbass lmt500 head and Aguilar db112 cabs.

Paul is multitalented fella, techs at an international level, mixes loads including this, plays guitar for The War of the Worlds tours and has a great sideline selling Avon beauty products!

@thebrig I see the singer doing DF numbers amongst other stuff some months back....was well impressed.

Sadly for us, he got married and moved down to the south coast, we were West Midlands based, so it was the end of the band because he was hard to replace.🙁

We didn't market ourselves as a Dr Feelgood tribute, but I suppose we were really because we called ourselves Stupidity after their album of the same name, and we only played Dr Feelgood songs.

Here's a shortened selection of songs.

"Hello Josephine" recorded in rehearsal, I'm sitting down because I had just come out of hospital the day before following an op to have a fatty lump removed from my stomach.
