Love that man - cheeky and cool... and well played.

Here are a couple of videos of my at the LSO St Lukes with producer/songwriter Niraj Chag (he's playing keyboards) I loved doing this band - lots of cool grooves and beautiful melodies on top - the bass is a little quiet as it was very loud in the hall and so didn't get put through the PA that much - so I hope you get the vibe anyway:

Hop you enjoy

Hi,

This is my 4th rehearsal playing bass with not just this band, but any band. Ever! And only the 3rd rehearsal with a drummer. So, I'm a bit rusty, the sound isn't good etc etc etc, blah blah blah, but what the hell! We're all friends here aren't we?

So here goes....

Be nice :)

It's a bit rusty but I've heard worse... good job on the bass with the consistent downstrokes and a fat bass-sound..
Keep it up and enjoy yourselves ! (I've played "Out of control" hundreds of times myself, great song)

Cheers man! :)

Dunno why but I prefer downstrokes to alternating.

Here's me playing Christina Aguilera's song, Impossible.

Available in HD & sounds better that way :)

Here's my band from a 'dress rehearsal' earlier this year just prior to the first gig with the current line-up

The Dirty South

And if you liked that we streamed the whole second set from a recent rehearsal (without the hats and shades :) ) live on the internet.

And just to send you completely to sleep, here's a bit of footage shot by our lighting guy at a recent gig

We ended up at the Grand Hotel, the place was empty cold and dank

And finally the reason why you should always check the location of the smoke machine before setting your gear up

Christ, did your singer know he was being filmed when he was prancing around the stage at the start? Ah, I don't suppose it matters what genre you're in, singers can always look ridiculous because they've got nothing to do when they're not singing!

Ah cheers guys! I'm my harshest critic, so I half-expect some nitpicking (at the least!) when I post my videos, but the response I get always seems mostly positive! I really appreciate the kind words.
One question. What basic equipment is needed to put ur bass laying into the computer etc?
You typically need some sort of audio interface - there's plenty of USB ones which start off fairly inexpensive. For example, I have one of these, but there are loads of options.

The other thing you need is some software for recording - this ranges from the simplest (Audacity, Garageband etc), to the more advanced (Logic, ProTools, Cubase etc). Apologies if you already know this, just wanted to cover all bases.

For a more advanced guide to making YouTube videos, urb has written this very informative post.

Hope that helps you out!
